Background
Camamero is an application that aims to help the gastronomic sector to comply with the regulations implemented during the pandemic COVID-19 in order to continue operating. In addition to complying with regulations, restaurant owners can manage their business from the application and also use it to take orders and establish contact with their employees.
Steps of the Design process
This process will be approached from a perspective focused on the UX process in terms of language (UX Writting), however, the stages of the process will be briefly described.
01 User research
Interviews were conducted with users to obtain information about their journey, their environment and their needs. In this particular project, several elements of the pandemic situation were taken into consideration, such as the sanitary measures dictated by the German government to prevent the spread of the virus.
02 Meet the user profile
The information obtained from the previous stage was used to create a user profile. The main needs, objectives and motivations were identified and this helped to create a user profile which we call in design 'Persona'.
03 Ideation & Ux Workshop
Several UX Workshops were held to generate solutions to user needs and problems. In addition at this stage we also emphasized the type of language to be used in the application.
04 User flow
In order to visualize in a more concrete way the main functions of the application, a user flow was created to identify the key points where the user could find a problem, identify help points, and when it is necessary to give them feedback, etc.
05 Wireframes
Wireframes were created in Adobe Xd of the most important functions in order to visualize the flow of users and thus apply improvements to the design of the interface.
06 Visual design & Design system
Finally, the visual design was made under the guidelines of human centered design guidelines and the design control sheet was created to deliver the project to the development team.
Persona
Creating 'Persona' helps to quickly identify the user's objectives, needs and frustrations in order to generate solutions and also to properly select the language to approach the user.

Based on Ruth as the user profile, her concerns and needs, two different roles were selected, to find the most accurate type of language to address our users.

Manager
The manager character is a very organized person, who hast a lot of responsibilities. They communicate clear and direct messages. They usually address others team members through orders and in a formal way.

Assistant
The role of the assistant is a person who has a less directive but more auxiliary character. It is oriented to solve problems, prevent errors, lighten the workload and help others. The type of language is less directive and more customer service oriented.
Due to the profile of our target group, the assistant role was selected. Almost all business owners already fulfill the role of manager and according to their needs and objectives, an assistant in what they most need to better organize their business. Thus, the language used is less direct and more oriented to assist users in the process of their tasks.
Examples of user-centered language of Camarero

Unclear messages
Sometimes in direct language the user knows what he has not done, but does not know what he has to do.

Formulate sentences in positive language
The user-oriented language is more oriented to ask questions to the user and to tell him what he has to do to perform a task.

Info buttons
For this app help buttons were included to build trust and to help the user to complete a complex task.

Prevent errors
Examples of the information and format that the user must enter helped to prevent errors. Only relevant examples have been included, examples of information like country, city, etc. have been avoided.

Errors and recovery
Despite taking measures to prevent errors, they can still occur. To help the user recover from these errors, messages have been included that tell the user how to do this, rather than just reporting the error.

Sucess messages
Notifications of successful operations were highlighted in green, to visually indicate to the user that the operation or task was successfully completed.

Reminders
This project included reminders of actions that could be important for the user. Especially thinking about the workload that the users of the target group have on their journey.
